Karen’s Philosophy

I am a certified Nutrition & Wellness Specialist, and believe that we have the ability to improve our health through long term positive lifestyle changes

I never recommend a nutrition, weight loss or fitness program that I have not personally tried myself, and you will not see me endorsing any commercial diet pill, weight loss supplement or exercise gadget

I do not offer anyone a quick fix to their weight problem, but will offer strategies for improving your current eating habits, your nutritional intake and your current fitness level

I practice what I preach, and have been following my own “This Aint Pretty” weight loss program, and you can take a look at my own phenomenal progress, including my before and after pictures, on my home page

I formulate healthy eating and weight loss plans addressing all aspects of your current lifestyle, including what you eat and when you eat it

The majority of my clients come to me because they feel they have a considerable amount of weight to lose, and my more intensive programs hold you extremely accountable to me, with regular coaching sessions.  This ensures that you reach the weight loss goals you set out to achieve.  Being accountable also gives you the motivation to succeed and helps you to prevent lapses before they occur and provides opportunities to overcome potential obstacles whether physical or mental

If you have a current medical condition that needs to be addressed, with your permission, I will work with your doctor or specialist to ensure that we create a nutrition and weight loss plan that does not compromise your health in any way

I have overcome my own personal weight and health battles, and am passionate about showing individuals, families and children, ways to improve their lifestyle, health and weight through healthy eating and regular physical activity

With this in mind, we have a prestigious personal trainer who works with our clients, who will devise exercise and training plans to complement your health and fitness goals, whatever they are, and we encourage you to ask us for details on how to add an exercise component to your new nutrition and weight loss program
